fabulous friday

"If you plan for a year, plant rice. If your plan is for a hundred years, educate your children." Confucius.

What an amazing week. I hope you all had an amazing week, too. People say that as we get older, time flies by so quickly … I like to think of it as ‘time flies when you are having fun’ … this was a week of much fun. Getting in the holiday spirit is great. It usually annoys me to see holiday ‘stuff’ in the stores before Halloween, though this year it seems to have aided my jump in to the holiday spirit.

Last evening, Brad had his first glass lesson – and we fired up the kiln – so exciting to watch, wait, watch … and see if what we had pictured really turned out. I was excited with my first few pieces. And, I am certain Brad will be happy when he sees his.

Reading my dear friend, Amy’s, blog - http://bettyrants.blogspot.com/ reminded me of the joy of cooking. I love to cook/create meals. I am already thinking of the menu for the Christmas holidays. Last night I made a very yummy [if I do say so myself] pot roast with tons of veggies. Cherie, Brad and I ate a lovely dinner before tackling our first glass project. It is time to start creating new soups and ... lots of breads.

I do not do too well selling myself  - so, Cherie is doing that job for me – and doing a fabulous job. She has begun visiting stores, boutiques, shops – and in the next few days many will be carrying a line of PatriciaA wearable art – I am so excited.

Until tomorrow xo
