Tid bits from the homefront:
This week has been a busy one. There is much I still want to accomplish here at home before beginning new work opportunities outside of the home next week, and starting school with Jacob the following week. I miss you Jacob.

I have missed writing here each day, and sharing photos of my ‘stuff’,  and hope to be back to that now as Ryan completely overhauled my computer and it is working beautifully. Thank you Thank you. And thanks to all of you who have been sending me notes, inquiring about ‘lack of blog’ … I so appreciate you.

Doesn’t the purple look so pretty with all of the green … I am loving the bursts of color all around the yard … The garden is ready for Fall planting – much weeding needed to happen – I began planting, and will finish today – made new ‘Fall tag stakes’ , too.

 soon to be potato spot
need basil? come over ... I have basil trees everywhere
clearing the garden for Fall Fun veggies

My puppies seem to be feeling the energy of what will be the labyrinth – they love hanging out there …

Babbling:
I woke this morning, after a perfect night's sleep, with a gazillion thoughts running through my head … not nervous thoughts, as they once were - good thoughts – positive things that have been happening in my life … feeling at peace with so much … love that. Watching the goals I set in May, come to fruition, just as planned … pretty cool. And, pretty silly were the days when I doubted myself. I am going to share more about the journey I have been on, very soon. As soon as Ryan retrieves all of my files from when my computer went hoopy, and I finish getting a legal glitch handled, I have many thoughts to share.
Judgment is such a negative thing … before judging let’s take a few minutes [or sometimes longer] to walk in another person's shoes …

I'm feeling irritated [nice word] a bout some things right now - maybe tomorrow I'll be able to spew ... thanks for being here - even when I fail to show up - grateful grateful

until tomorrow xo

We do not remember days, we remember moments.   CESARE PAVESE
Today I love …
                Walking on a cool morning
                   Scrambled eggs and biscuits
                   New books

Tid bits from the homefront:
This morning the air felt so wonderful. Not humid – cool, fall-like temps. Such a nice way to start the day.  There is much work to be done in the garden – weeds galore … Hoping to get to that tomorrow. Some of the veggies aren’t loving the heat we have been having. The leaves are getting burned from the 100 degree temps, so things are slow growing – still producing pretty well though. I am amazed at the mums and roses growing in this heat. The mums aren’t opening up really big … though still look beautiful.

I have been creating fun jewelry … adding new pieces of wearable art to my etsy shop every day. Today, check out the rings … I am loving these:

This water bottle is the BEST. My sister , Cathee, gave it to me and I am so grateful. Thank you Thank you. It keeps water cold for hours and hours … I love it.

I have found that if you love life, it will love you back.

It’s going to be a busy work weekend here – Hope everyone has a great weekend … I’m looking forward to getting to the beach soon.

Until tomorrow xo

If I create from the heart, nearly everything works;
if from the head, almost nothing.    MARC CHAGALL
Today I love …
That all feels right with the world

Tid bits from the homefront:

I am feeling extra grateful today … Last evening, Sam, decided to run off. He and Lewis have been doing so well staying right in the yard when I am working out there. I called him for what felt like a decade, drove around, searched the woods, and called some more. No sleep for me … He finally showed up at 6:30 this morning. I was so relieved.
Lewis was very worried, too. He was so excited to see Sam this morning.

So – today is a great day.

Working with Riley and Holden today. Jewelry class, great conversation, movies, and a few trips around the town.

Try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.    RAINER MARIA RILKE

the return of my stray cat, Hope
          lovely friends

Tid bits from the homefront:
Yikes. I can’t believe it is already August 10th.
Happy Birthday, Leisa – yesterday …
Summer is flying by.
This morning the temperature was only 86 degrees. Felt like sweater weather.

The past couple of weeks have been filled with [fun] busy. So many things accomplished … I was pretty impressed with myself as I looked over my ‘must do this summer’ list and most things had been crossed off. The no smoking thing was the greatest. Yeah. Working with Zack helping him in the job search and getting himself organized to live away from his parents in an apartment, has been an enjoyable challenge. He seems to be ready …

Working with Holden is always a delightful challenge … this week we are having much fun working mostly on social ‘stuff’. We met lots of cool people today in the post office, restaurant, bridal store, grocery store. He interacted so well – I am so proud with him.

Creating inside with the cold air blowing has been lovely. I will have new rings and earrings in my etsy shop tomorrow … please check them out.
I really need to get sales up … thanks thanks thanks

Last night was so much fun. Friends – Swimming – Dinner – Fun. We had a great fire in the fire pit. The kids loved roasting their hot dogs and then later … s’mores’ … an evening filled with much love, laughter, and memories.

Garden fun:
It has been too hot to do much work in yard/garden – so I am looking forward to cooler mornings – much weeding needs to happen.  My first cucumbers were delicious. Can’t wait for the next. The tomato plants seem to be slowing down … hoping to get the new ones to burst with many tomatoes in the next few weeks. I am counting on tomatoes through September. It has been such fun growing food and not purchasing any veggies at the store. It is great that I love spaghetti squash … they are growing like crazy. By the end of next week, I will [weather permitting] begin getting the ground ready for the fall garden. I am excited for potatoes, beets, more radishes, different squash, cauliflower and spinach [again].

then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.

another monday

Today I love …
        reading
          morning walks
          summer squash
        gardening
        creating
        painting
        cooking

Tid bits from the homefront:
I am [finally] enjoying this exercise routine. My lungs feel great being free of smoke and the walking and exercising is much easier now. Lewis and I have been enjoying long walks [even a few runs – which I never imagined I would do – always used to say that the only time I would run is if someone was chasing me] everyday. It is another form of meditation for me. During the past two weeks I have felt a huge shift in me – connecting with nature [the universe] is natural here in the woods.

Wonderful weekend. I am back to reading a book a day … loving that. Yesterday I had a great lunch and time with Caleb’s fam. I love spending time with them – and especially enjoy the feeling of family. I have been missing my fam MUCH here lately … feeling happy for their adventures, though missing them just the same. Nora [Taylor’s and Caleb’s puppy who is staying with Caleb’s fam] came running over to me – I have missed her too … she is a ball of energy. I think next time I will take Lewis with me – I’m sure he is missing Nora. I came home with a big bag of veggies – and a recipe for okra – I think I will give it another try. Thank you thank you.

Last night the most amazing moth flew onto the patio – I have never seen anything quite like it. So large and beautiful – and it was totally comfortable with my holding it … it stayed for a couple of hours – Cherie captured these photos – beautiful, I think

Garden fun:
The lovely rain storm was much appreciated – especially by the lawn and the garden. I’m expecting more great veggies this week.

Cherie and I are mural painting today – I will share photos when we finish.
Starting a busy week … Hope everyone is enjoying a great start to a great week.

Until tomorrow xo
